And it all started out as a little cabin by the woods

Trickling Falls is

located in southern Indiana near Bedford. A small part of our vast world, it is merely 5 acres, containing unique topography unseen from the road.

At this time, Trickling Falls is closed to the public. It seems that insurance for allowing people to visit a place this unique is stupid expensive. It would be nice to allow people a chance to see for themselves, what can only be shown in pictures.

So, for now, NO VISITORS.

Looking into the future, the plan is to make it so you will be able to have portraits taken using these features for “one of a kind” backdrops. Make an appointment and bring your photographer! Depending on popularity, a changing room is planned for privacy and makeup needs. And a rest room facility as well. As for now, nothing is open to the public.

What’s in There?

We use soy-based waxes in most of our melts and candles. Floating candles are paraffin, and Beeswax is….. Most of our scents are not naturally found, they are “man-made’. We have looked into using natural scents (think aroma therapy). Unfortunately, the cost is more than people are willing to pay, and natural scents throw a much lighter aroma which is another deterrent for their use. Our wood is sawn and purchased locally whenever we can. Antiques are, well, old and we usually have single sale items in “Dusty Garret Antiques”.

Trickling Falls Country Emporium is merely in the planning stage. It will be a destination for outdoor recreation enthusiasts, tourists passing through and a local “quick stop”. We will offer supplies for camping, hiking (day, overnight, and extended trips), road and mountain bike, bikepacking, canoe, kayak, and canyak (canoe used as a kayak). We also plan to serve breakfast and supper in a café style eatery (but with good food). The Emporium will stock essentials & camp food (dehydrated), individual wrapped OTC meds, water, and many other “Oh, I forgot to pack that” items. There will be hostel style shelter. These “bunks” and “hooks” are suitable for your equipment use (we will offer few amenities since most people will be prepared for camping anyway). We also have a shuttle/touring service “Eccentric Explorations” for thru hikers, one-way cyclists and paddlers. These are big plans on a shoestring budget. Please show your support by purchasing our online store items (Products) and let us know how you would like to see us get better! Donations are appreciated for debt free business growth. If there is a chance for success, every business needs a good location and capital! As for now the search is on for location, location, location!!

All comments are welcome as long as they are creative and have a point. Criticisms will be discarded and never taken seriously. We know criticism is merely jealousy in disguise. If you like what we are doing, please let us know in the CONTACT section. If you don’t like what we are doing, please let us know what you would like to see different. We know we won’t please everyone. You may also consider looking elsewhere for a topic that interests and is more suited for you. We do intend to give the patrons who like us the best we can offer! Please come back often to watch us grow! We will be introducing new features and products regularly!

No matter how fast or slow your day seems, they all pass at the speed of life. It does not matter how well or badly your day goes, don’t let the days pass without being lived in and for the moment! If you don’t know what I mean, you're doing it wrong! Live for the enjoyment of life, not something else.

A Familiar Flame Scentsations is currently producing wax melts, scent beads, diffusers, and room sprays. Still in the process of ramping up production, most products in our extensive line have not yet been released to the website. Please bear with us during this process and visit often to see what’s new!

Rusty Blades Woodshop will be set up (soon, I hope. Funding and having time to build is more difficult than I had imagined). Early works will be presented online by April 2025 or sooner if I can. Currently we are planning to have picture frames, mirrors, wall shelves, and other small home items for decoration and practicality. We use real wood to produce our products. Thus, with proper care, your purchase will last for many years! (Quality products that are durable and sustainable stay out of landfills and curb carbon emissions that other mass producers will raise by making inferior products that need replaced more often). Rusty’s Woodshop will also take orders for high volume production. (Contact us to cut out the details).

Fresh Perspective Photography will have digital photos and prints available by July 2025. Most prints will be from local photographers advertising their works and businesses! There will be prints from “other” vendor sources as well. Most prints will be offered as 8x10 and 10x20s (for now). Advertising, product, and business photography will also be available by late August 2025. If you like what you see on this website, call us! We can set up an appointment to see if what you need can be done by myself, or any of the other photographers!

Skinny’s 411 You Tube page and website (skinnys411.com) will tie all of this together and present his viewpoint for many outdoor products, hiking trails, campsites, bicycle trails, paddling routes, and other outdoor activities. There will also be a blog and some “Fireside Rants” on society as a whole. All the good wholesome entertainment you didn’t realize you were missing and needed!

The Creative Cabin is another part of Trickling Falls that is in the planning stage. There will be stations set up for you to “try out” a craft you may be interested in. We welcome multipotentialities as well as anyone curious to how something is done, made, or experience the pure enjoyment of practicing a new skill! Each course will be held weekly for 3 hours. Each course is divided into 3 classes: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. There will be 5 subjects to choose from (5 weekdays) which are Scent items (Mixology), Wax items (Candles and Such), wood product assembly (Sticks), acrylic painting (Artistry), and Food Preparation (Culinary). Each course will be $30 to $45per session. We supply almost everything you need (except for food items), just show up and make stuff! The course cost will be more if supplies go up, yet again. The courses offered are for entertainment and to experience a new craft! Details will be made clearer as we draw nearer to the opening of The Creative Cabin. Be ready to sign up and meet some new (or old) friends!
